Dear Members of the World Archaeological Congress,
On behalf of the Executive of the World Archaeological Congress (WAC), I am pleased to issue the official call for expressions of interest to stand as President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer of WAC. Elections for these positions will take place during the Assembly of WAC-10, to be convened in Darwin, Australia, from 22 to 28 June 2025 (see Article 7.7 of the Statutes).

These four positions are central to the leadership, governance, and future direction of WAC. The responsibilities of each role are detailed in the WAC Statutes (see Article 8), which all prospective candidates are strongly encouraged to study thoroughly before accepting nomination (see Appendix).
In accordance with the WAC Statutes, I, Professor Koji Mizoguchi, the current President of WAC, will serve as the Returning Officer for this election (see Article 8.1.a of the Statutes) .
WAC members interested in standing for these positions are now invited to submit:
- A statement of intentions (maximum 500 words)
- A short CV
- Your WAC membership number
