




Doujita Kasfi is a skilled architect and researcher based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and a Master’s in Environmental Sciences and Management from Jahangirnagar University. With a passion for sustainable design and heritage preservation, Doujita has built a career that merges architectural practice with environmental research.
Since 2016, Doujita has worked with several leading firms and organizations, including FRAMEWORK, SYSTEM Architects, and the Department of Architecture under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works. She has also contributed to significant projects through her roles at Studio Dhaka Ltd. and Tanya Karim N.R. Khan Associates. Doujita is currently an architect and researcher at Perceive, where she leads projects that explore innovative solutions for urban development, environmental sustainability, and cultural heritage.
Growing up and living in Bangladesh- a country rich in culture and heritage, has instilled a deep sensitivity and passion for cultural preservation in her. She is an active member of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), where she serves on the Heritage Committee, advocating for the preservation and sustainable use of Bangladesh’s architectural heritage. Her research interests include water management, architectural conservation, and the integration of local materials into modern design practices.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Doujita has participated in various international workshops and training programs, such as those organized by UNESCO, Bengal Institute for Architecture, and TU Delft. Her interests extend beyond architecture, with a love for traveling, hiking, photography, and playing the violin. Doujita is committed to creating spaces that are not only functional and beautiful but also environmentally responsible and culturally rich.
