David Gaimster is an archaeologist and director of museums in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. Following a PhD in 1991 (UCL), he has continued to publish regularly on historical archaeology, material culture studies, museology and cultural property policy. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London and of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
