Bushra Noureen

My name is Bushra Noureen, and I am currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad—a role I have held since 2023. I hold both an MPhil and MSc in Anthropology from this esteemed institution.

With over five years of experience collaborating with archaeologists, museologists, and conservationists at the Department of Archaeology and Museums, my expertise lies in the management of monuments and archaeological sites, particularly those representing Buddhist and Islamic/Medieval architecture, archaeology, and arts.

My professional journey includes meaningful contributions to several cultural heritage preservation projects. Notably, I played a key role in the “Preservation, Restoration, Presentation, and Development of Rawat Fort” initiative under the National Heritage and Cultural Division, Government of Pakistan. Additionally, I have worked with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, where I was responsible for designing and managing tour packages as well as enhancing customer service experiences.

As a researcher, my academic interests are broad and interdisciplinary. I have conducted studies on topics such as the perceptions of HIV/AIDS patients, career aspirations among young women, and the socio-cultural dynamics of migration and Islamic philanthropy. My research has been presented at various academic conferences and supported by several HEC-sponsored projects.

I am skilled in proposal writing, field research methodologies, and data analysis, and I bring strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities to my work. I am fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi, which enhances my ability to engage with diverse communities.

I am currently seeking collaborative opportunities with international scholars in the fields of cultural heritage management, archaeological conservation, and anthropology. I believe that my field experience, research background, and deep cultural insight into Pakistan’s heritage landscape can offer valuable contributions to cross-cultural and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
