Arek Marciniak is Professor of Archaeology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. His expertise is in the development of early farming communities in the Old World, zooarchaeology, heritage pedagogy, and contemporary challenges to heritage policies and strategies. He is a member of the Academia Europaea, the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the German Archaeological Institute.
