Local musicians will play at various venues, the UCT Club has been requisitioned for PubWAC, local crafts will be on sale, books will be available to browse and several films will be shown. There will also be a range of exclusive WAC4 merchandise, including t-shirts, conference bags and coffee mugs.<\/p>\n<p>WAC4 will have a strong presence outside the Congress itself. A strong Public Archaeology Programme will be taking place in schools and museums across the country. In Cape Town, public lectures and a week-long Winter School at UCT will make archaeology accessible to the community.<br \/>\n<strong>Sunday 10th January<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>14:00-17:00 Plenary Session<br \/>\nSouthern African Archaeology Today<\/p>\n<p>John Parkington and Mary Leslie (Convenors)<\/p>\n<p>Contributions from Amanda Esterhuysen, Tom Huffman, David Lewis-Williams, Carmel Schrire, Alinah Segobye, Pippa Skotnes and Francis Thackeray.<\/p>\n<p>This plenary session will be open to the public<br \/>\n18:00 onwards. A celebration.<\/p>\n<p>Music by Women Unite and Lennox T.<\/p>\n<p>An evening of unique entertainment, featuring the music of the Western Cape and the foods of Africa. Dress: Casual.
