This initiative promotes integrating global discussions and communities of practice, connecting local to global. It encourages dialogue and conversations, locally and crossing borders, gathering diverse and relevant voices related to archaeology practice and heritage, from academics to indigenous organizations committed to heritage and its protection as a human right. I hope this event inspires us to explore new paths, collectively imagining futures towards a more inclusive and humanistic archaeology, to face the challenges and inequalities of our present.

The WAC-10 Global Hub in Uruguay is possible by team effort. I am specially thankful to my colleagues of the Environmental History Group (GHAM, CURE), PhD. Laura del Puerto and PhD(c) Noelia Bortolotto, whose support is making this hub a reality.

Contact

Laura Brum Bulanti
Hub Convenor – WAC-10 Uruguay
Email: lbrum@cure.edu.uy ; grupo.historia.ambiental@cure.edu.uy
Phone: (+598) 44727001ext. 390
https://www.cure.edu.uy

Centro Universitario Regional del Este (CURE) of the Universidad de la República de Uruguay Hub Convenor: Laura Brum Bulanti (Ph.D. candidate), Environmental History Group (GHAM, CURE).
