I wanted to illustrate the interconnectivity of the past, present, and future of archaeology by situating human activities within these thematic contexts. Each vignette is framed within strata, literally and metaphorically grounding the narrative while demonstrating its unique context.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affiliation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Global Station for Indigneous Studies and Cultural Diversity, Hokkaido University<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amanda Gomes is a Research Fellow at the Global Station for Indigenous Studies and Cultural Diversity (GSI), GI-CoRE, Hokkaido University. Their work centers on archaeological heritage management in Hokkaido, with a particular focus on interpretive practices. For over ten years, they have managed the field lab at the Rebun Archaeological Field School, overseeing operations and training.
