My name is Neha Singh. I completed my U.G. and P.G. from Banaras Hindu University. I am doing my fourth year of PH.D. from the A.I.H.C. & Archaeology department of Banaras Hindu University. I am qualified for UGC NET and JRF from the ICHR (INDIAN COUNCIL OF HISTORICAL RESEARCH). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, I am working on the transformation of the culture from lower to middle paleolithic with special reference to the Middle Son Valley, India. I am doing the field training under The MASA Project (Cambridge and Banaras Hindu University) of Nindaur, India. I participated in a QGIS workshop at IIT Gandhi Nagar, India. And also attending many national and international workshops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have done OSL sampling in the PRL lab, Ahmadabad (Physics Research Laboratory). I presented my presentation at the In-Bix-ADNAT2024 International conference. I am collaborating with ththee Neurosciences Department to understand the hominin brain in the transition period (lower to middle paleolithic) and have published our paper (From Stone Tools to Society: How Prefrontal Cortex Evolution Refined Hominin Stone Tool Making Technique and Social Behaviour). I am exploring prehistoric sites in the Middle Son Valley. and also visit some prehistoric places in India like: Sanchi, Bhimbetka, Adamgirpur, Agiyabir, Mahavan, Nakhjarkhurd, Patpara, Baghor, etc.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My primary research interests include archaeology, neuro-archaeology, with a particular focus on the tools\u2019 technology, QGIS in Archaeology, and microscopic use wear analysis.
