Theme convenors are invited to submit&nbsp;rationales&nbsp;(300 words maximum)&nbsp;for&nbsp;proposed&nbsp;themes&nbsp;on any aspect of archaeology. Once the theme is accepted, theme convenors are free to solicit sessions for their theme. To enrich the academic program, each session needs to be convened by a minimum of two people from different countries. We can help people to find co-convenors from different countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/themes-in-previous-wac-congresses\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"641\">Themes in previous WAC Congresses.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/sessions\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/sessions\/\">Sessions<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sessions&nbsp;consist of&nbsp;a set of papers (typically 4-10) that address a central topic. Convenors are invited to submit&nbsp;rationales&nbsp;(300 words maximum)&nbsp;for&nbsp;proposed&nbsp;sessions&nbsp;on any aspect of archaeology.&nbsp;Please provide an indication of the proposed format for your session (e.g. panel discussion, individual paper presentations). We are also open to alternative session formats and contents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sessions may be in person (all presenters physically present) or hybrid (a combination of in person and online presenters).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once accepted,&nbsp;session convenors&nbsp;will&nbsp;take responsibility for&nbsp;co-ordinating and chairing their&nbsp;session(s). To enrich the academic program, each session should be convened by two people from different countries. We can help people to find a co-convenor from a different country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/workshops\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/workshops\/\">Workshops<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Workshops provide a two-hour forum for&nbsp;sharing information&nbsp;and skills. Workshop convenors are responsible for organising&nbsp;their&nbsp;workshop and leading discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/papers\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/papers\/\">Papers<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Paper abstracts&nbsp;(200 words maximum)&nbsp;may be submitted on any aspect of archaeology. Abstracts may be submitted as part of identified sessions or individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twenty minutes&nbsp;(15 minutes + 5 minutes discussion)&nbsp;will be allotted&nbsp;for each paper presentation.&nbsp;Question\/discussion time for papers within convened sessions will be at the discretion of the respective session convenors\u2014it may follow each paper or be contained to a combined discussion at the end. Papers in sessions created by the&nbsp;Academic sub-committee will follow the format of 15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes discussion, unless otherwise advised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/posters\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/worldarchaeologicalcongress.com\/wac10\/posters\/\">Posters<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite scholars to submit posters to be showcased&nbsp;throughout the Congress, in the virtual environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Congress Language<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The official language of the Congress is English.&nbsp; However, presentations can be in any language.
